Winter 2021- Desert Sheep
Beginning with the first phone call with Rob of Timber King Outfitting, I knew that I was in the right hands for completing my lifelong dream of a grand slam. Rob assured me that we would be hunting free range dark horned rams and that I would not be disappointed. Having never hunted in Mexico and not knowing what to expect, I could not have scripted my hunt to be any better. Rob assisted on all of travel, gun permit, as well as Covid 19 logistics and made travel transitions seamless. Elijah Anderson met my son and I at the airport and from then on helped us have the hunting trip of a lifetime. Accommodations, food, drink and company were the absolute best anyone could ever ask for on any hunting trip. We were fortunate enough to spend many days watching and judging several rams before the desert finally offered up an exceptional ram that we could harvest. Elijah’s stalk and performance under pressure were flawless and I was able to harvest a ram with my son by my side. I am already looking forward to the day I can hunt with Elijah and Rob in the future. I cannot recommend Timber King Outfitting highly enough. A true first class operation.

Fall 2020
I just completed an amazing Alberta Mule Deer hunt with Timber King Outfitting in early November of 2020. Overall it was a fantastic experience! I have hunted all over Canada and abroad, and I can say that Rob Brown and his team at Timber King are top notch outfitters. Rob is passionate, or better said fanatical about hunting big Mule Deer. His team is relentless in putting their clients in front of trophy animals. They have taken Mule Deer hunting to an entirely new level by dedicating significant time and resources in spotting deer well ahead of season and throughout the entire fall. Winter 2020 - Sonora, Mexico.
Booking a desert sheep hunt was always a dream for me and after talking to Rob about his style of hunting, management goals and quality of rams, I was convinced it was the place to go and boy was I right. His area in Mexico supports an incredibly good population of sheep with a high percentage of high scoring and old rams. This is only achieved by taking a limited number of hunters each season. This is true free-range hunting with no fences and no introduced sheep. We saw three rams over 170 inches on the hunt and I ended up taking a 183 3/8 inch, nine year old ram. It was far bigger than I ever imagined possible. If you are looking for a true sheep hunt in Mexico, look no further. The quality of rams improves every year and the cost of this hunt is only going to increase. Traveling to hunt can be stressful but Rob and crew take care of every detail and this entire desert sheep hunt in Mexico was seamless from start to finish. Gear and accommodations were first-class, food was amazing and Rob even arranged for some fishing and sightseeing after the hunt. I can't say enough good about this hunt and Timber King Outfitting!
January 2020 - Mexico
Had the pleasure of hunting desert bighorn sheep with Rob Brown of Timber King Outfitting, guided by Elijah Anderson. Hands down one of the best operations I’ve ever hunted with, start to finish. Everything was handled by them from the time I booked including rifle permits, travel details, hotels in Hermosillo, airport pickup, and trophy export. With all the investment of hunting these sheep in Mexico, I can’t recommend their professionalism and attention to detail highly enough. The private ranch was beautiful! You get to enjoy well kept cabins, great meals, and amazing staff. The hospitality of the Seri people of the area was wonderful upon arrival. Can honestly say Elijah and John are two of the best sheep guides I’ve ever had, and I’d hunt with them anywhere. We saw dozens of sheep, all free-range, with the ocean and Tiburon Island in the background. I shot a great ram on my second day and spent the next couple days relaxing in camp. If you need a desert sheep and only want to do it once with no fear of your investment, this is where you go!
Winter 2020 - Sonora Mexico
In January of 2020, my son and I traveled to Sonora Mexico in hopes of completing my Grand Slam with Timber King Outfitting. We were met by our guide Elijah Anderson at the airport and everything went smoothly from start to finish. Logistically everything went without a single "hiccup". The camp was comfortable and the staff warm and accommodating. The food was exceptional. We saw over 25 rams, many ewes and lambs, which bodes well for the future hunting opportunities at this ranch. I recommend Timber King and Elijah strongly.
Whitetail Hunt 2019
This fall was the second time this year I’ve used TKO for a hunt. January I was in Northern Alberta for a wolf hunt, I didn’t have success in harvesting an animal but what I did get was one hell of an outfitter. Rob was able to get me into a whitetail hunt last minute this year for what I consider to be a dream hunt of the monster Alberta whitetail. My hunt started out fast and with a bang, 4 hours in on my first day I tagged out on a big dark antlered Alberta buck. Rob, Dom and my guide Tom went out of their way to ensure I had an opportunity to get the buck of a lifetime. Seeing first hand how much time and effort they put in, to learn the animals habits is incredible. Nothing in hunting is guaranteed but you won’t find an outfitter that will give you better chance at filling a tag then TKO. Camp accommodations, food and all around experience is second to none. I wouldn’t use anyone else when it comes to outfitting, if TKO doesn’t offer a hunt you’re looking for I’m sure Rob would be able to recommend someone and point you in the right direction. Honesty and integrity is becoming hard to find nowadays and to put it bluntly I’ve already got two more hunts booked for 2020 and I’m counting down the days. I would highly recommend TKO, you won’t be disappointed!
2019 November Moose
All outfitters make promises, I'd like to share my November 2019 moose hunt experience with you and tell you how hard the entire staff at Timber King Outfitting worked to make my hunt successful. Everyone, and I mean everyone did their best to provide everything they could to help my hunt. Sometimes the simplest thing as a positive word at the end of a long day can totally recharge the batteries for the next days hunt. If you choose this hunt expect your guides to completely exhaust themselves in an effort to put you on the game your after. In my case we put in 3 full 12 hour days searching, at the end of the fourth day we shot a bull moose, then began the "all hands on deck" effort to get him out of the valley he was in. The entire staff of TKO were as excited as I that we were successful. The entire process, from booking a hunt right through to arrival day I found the communication quick, responsive and helpful. The accomidations are not fancy but very comfortable. The food is not only plentiful but deliciously prepared. The guides are extremely knowledgeable of the area, habitat and animal movements. Lets be honest, no outfitter can honestly guarantee a 100% success rate on a fair chase hunt. However based on my hunt I can 100% guarantee you will not find an organization (top to bottom) that will work harder, make you feel more welcome, and do everything humanly possible to help you fill your tag. Without question your success is their "personal" success. I traveled 2000 miles from Arizona and perhaps not see a moose. Thats hunting, we all accept that. So what do we hope and expect? That the outfitter we choose is not only professional but as caring and committed to our success as we are. With that I can give my highest recommendation to the entire staff at Timber King Outfitting. For my Nov. 2019 hunt they were absolutely dogged in their effort to put me on a shooter bull moose. My guides put in four 12 hour days (from pre dawn to complete darkness) in an effort to locate the moose that, do to the tracks from the 5" of fallen snow, we knew were there. Throughout the hunt everyone on the TKO staff kept encouraging me that it would happen. At the end of the fourth day it all came together, spotting a bull we would spend the next half hour getting into position. After almost a year from booking the hunt, months of anticipation, traveling to Alberta, four complete days of searching, with the low light fading, suddenly and within mere seconds and the report of the rifle, it was over! If you're reading this and considering TKO as a possible hunting outfitter. In the strongest possible terms I urge you to look a little deeper and perhaps call and speak with Rob Brown and see if you don't finish that call with an understanding of how committed he and his staff are to providing you with everything humanly possible for an opportunity to fill your tag. Am I excited about my hunt, of course, but I can honestly tell you that even if I hadn't taken that moose I would have left there satisfied because of the totality of effort that went into the process. Fall 2019 - Whitetail
All I can say is wow! I hunted for the first time in Alberta Nov 10th through the 20th for whitetail looking for a buck of a lifetime and man did these guys get me on a great deer. Dom, Rob, and Mark busted their hump to get us in a position to harvest a mature whitetail. These guys know where the giants live you just have to put the time in and shoot straight. Listen to your guides!!! They know what they are talking about. Food and accommodations were great. It’s really cool when your guide and the owners of the outfit are just as excited as you are about killing a trophy! Thank you guys for putting me on a Canadian giant with double drop tines!
Archery Mule Deer 2019
Booked a hunt with Rob on a short notice cancelation hunt and what great decision that was! Rob, justin and the whole crew at TKO was top notch! There was no doubt that they had been out scouting long in advance and the quality of animals was amazing! I killed a phenomenal mule deer with my bow and had multiple chances to take a moose. I highly recommend Timber King Outfitting to anyone looking for a hard working outfitter in a high quality area. Cant say thank you enough to Rob and the crew!

Rifle Mule Deer/Moose Hunt 2019
What an amazing experience I had hunting with Timber King Oufitting. I didn’t do a lot of research on Timber King but I did know I wanted to hunt giant mule deer in the Peace River country and was told this was the outfitter to go with. I put a lot of faith and believed in Rob and everything he told me and he backed it all up sending pictures and staying in contact months before my hunt ever started. All I can say is thank you to Rob , Megan ,Justin and their whole crew. They treat you like a huntin buddy here not just a client. They get more excited at a shot opportunity than I did! and they always go the extra step to make sure everyone has a successful hunt. These guys do their homework and they know how to hunt giant muleys and it shows. I hope to hunt with them again someday.
Rifle Mule Deer/Moose Hunt 2019
I researched for years on a place to go moose and mule deer hunting and Timber King Outfitting kept popping up. I had many past clients tell me that they were the best. So I booked a hunt for my son and I and I don't regret the decision. Everything was top notch. Food, lodge, and guides. The first day Rob asked us what we were looking for, pertaining to the moose and mule deer. We told him and he got us what we asked for. Which obviously didn't come right away but this is where Rob and all the guides Excel. He stayed consistent and talked to us about all of the thoughts and process he had going on. From looking for mule deer to calling in places where moose are stacked in. He has been guiding for years and it shows. He is very good at his craft. The lengths he will go to get you a shot, to finding the deer that you shot. He is a great man and wants nothing but success for you. Rifle Mule Deer/Moose Hunt 2019
This is my first time hunting with Timber King Outfitting and boy did it go above and beyond. Rob guided us through the whole hunt. He and all of the guides put blood, sweat, and tears into finding these animals and making everything perfect for each guest. We saw shooters each day that we were there, and no shortage of wildlife to look at. The food was absolutely amazing. Hospitality was great and so was the lodge that we stayed in. Peace River has some of the best views I have every seen. But through this 8 days Rob, my dad, and myself made memories I will never forget. The bull in this picture came running into the first 20 seconds of calling and once he went down, Rob was just as pumped as I was. That is something you don’t see out of a lot of guides. Another reason Timber King Outfitting is so great because the guides care so much that they hug you and cheer after you take down the animal. What an experience and what a great place. I will definitely be coming back!
Desert Sheep Hunt 2019
I went on my first desert sheep hunt with Timber King Oufitting in January 2019. These guys were awesome to hunt with. Right from arriving at the airport to getting the capes and horns to the exporter everything was well run and organized. Everyone was friendly, helpful and they run one of the best hunting outfits I have ever seen. We saw sheep every day and I took a nice ram on day four not before I took a nice Coues deer on day two. I would highly recommend this sheep hunt!
Archery Moose Hunt 2019
Have to say Timber King Outfitting gets it done! Thank you Rob, Justin and Darren! Working with an Outfitter in Montana for 15 yrs I’ve got a pretty good idea of what serving Clients is about! At 70 yrs of age I figured it was time to Archery Moose Hunt! After contacting Rob, Timber King Outfitting was able to book my hunt the first week of Archery season so I would be able make it to my camp in Montana For Archery Elk. Justin and Darren went above and beyond to get it done! On the 4th day of my hunt with their help and a lot encouragement I was able to make my dream come true, I made a perfect 58 yd shot and harvested a beautiful velvet moose!!

Desert Sheep Hunt 2017
After a fun and rewarding hunt for Dall Sheep and Mounatin Caribou with Rob Brown, he called to let me know he had secured a destination for Desert Bighorn that met my Grand Slam quest criteria, namely bred and born wild, free ranging sheep. Traveling to Hermosillo where I was met by Rob and his Canadian sheep hunting team, we proceeded to a camp on the Gulf of California manned by his Mexican guide and cook team. The combined team worked seamlessly together to provide an outstanding camp experience and field team. We isolated one good sheep at the end of the first day but elected to scout a new area the next morning before committing to a singular opportnity. Climbing up to a drainage basin with the Gulf of California and Tiburon Island as backdrop, we found sheep right away and harvested a beauty. The sheep goal attained, the team entusiastically went to work on finding a trophy Coues deer to round out the trip. In conclusion, as with every hunt I've done with Rob, it was safe and fun with the smallest details tended to ahead of, during and after the hunt (things like travel coordination, advance gun permits, F&B, field team service and skills, trophy field prep, and trophy shipment logistics). Rob is a consummate professional, trustworthy and has always worked very hard to ensure my enjoyment and success. I'm entrusting him with my Rocky Mountain Bighorn hunt this fall to hopefully complete my Grand Slam - with him accounting for 3 of the 4!
Desert Sheep Hunt 2019
The Sonora camp is very nice and comfortable in a very beautiful setting in a bowl overlooking the Sea of Cortez with Tiburon Island as a back drop. The food is well above excellent, there will be no pounds lost on this hunt. ELIJAH and JOHN, my two sheep guides were extremely pleasant and very experienced guides. They located a few Rams early on day one some 1800 yards distant and high on the Mountain, after an hour or so of looking them over the number grew to 6 Rams and 2 shooters but one so heavy he was hard to judge beyond being a sure shooter Ram. I have a lung disease and am on a transplant list, but Elijah was patient of my pace and predicted my rest and recovery periods perfectly and within 2 hours of setting out had me in comfortable stable rest 640 yards from the tighly grouped band of Rams resting a steep shale slope. After a 2+ hour wait, the rams started to move and when our targeted Ram finally stood up Elijah gave the go ahead after I convinced him I was on the right Ram a wind effected the first shot, it went wide left but the Rams stirred and all ran a few yards totally confused by the unknown cloud of dust the bullet impact caused. The Ram came into a full broadside position as he scanned the valley below and the 2nd shot dropped him in his tracks. I cannot say too many good things about the Elijah, John, Rob and the entire crew. The quality of the Rams is superb, mine was 176 1/4, the 2nd Largest Ram in the group may of been longer but we judged this one the heaviest and my preference. I have had 3 other close friends also find success here with Timber King as someone who hunts the world and often, I can recommend Rob and his concession and team as top notch and possesses everything it takes to make your dreams of a DBH come true. If you can shoot you will not be disappointed. A+ Outfitter, A+ quality and condition of game. Well managed for long term conservation and success.

Looking back at my whitetail hunt with Rob and his crew, The food is home cooked and tasty, the rooms are clean, warm and quiet. I was fortunate enough to harvest a trophy of a life time! I’ve experienced a lot of ground shrinkage over the years, 1st time to experience the opposite! Great hunt with no hiccups.

“One Of The Best and Most Exhilarating Hunts I’ve Ever Experienced”
Thank you so much to Dominic Jackson (professional guide), Darren Wanchuk (professional guide) and Rob Brown (professional outfitter) for a terrific and outstanding wolf hunt. Over fifty-three years of my life, I have traveled and hunted all over North America (US and Canada) while hunting with many outfitters for many different species of animals. This outfitting company is one of the BEST ! My grandfather was a professional outfitter for over 40 years in the province of Quebec, so having personal knowledge between what defines a “good outfitter compared to a bad one” I know and can speak from personal experiences! Evidence clearly showed how hard Timber King Outfitting and guides did with their “do diligences” regarding pre-season scouting to confirm all bait sites were placed in areas where populations of wolves were present. Using fresh bait to potentially lure wolves into the area. Followed up with trail game cameras to confirm activity at each bait site. Properly equipped such as; snowmobiles, tracked side-by-side ATVs, multiple 4 x 4 trucks and trailers. All of these things take a lot of “time and expense” on the behalf of a good outfitter by being properly prepared. It also confirms how “hard they really worked” in wanting me to be successful. Although it’s somewhat embarrassing to admit, “I was the guy” that had three chances….. at three different wolves….. on three different days in a row. Yes we know…..”Unheard Of “….. but its true! If it were not for my guides who took the time and patience to determine why the shot wasn’t making its mark, then I wouldn’t have been so successful on the third day. Both the outfitter and guide displayed real patience and professionalism in finding out how to get me back on target. It took the aid of a hotdog shooting stick….but it worked!!........and YES that’s another story! Nevertheless, these are the signs of an outfitter who really CARES about increasing your chances of success! Let's face it, nothing is guaranteed when it comes to hunting whether tagging out or not, but having an outfitter working this hard makes a huge difference in the potential chance of you filling your tag ! So, if your looking for an outfitter and guide service that is as interested in you being successful then look no further! They’ll do you right because they sure did me!!! Wolf Hunt
Just wanted to write you and thank you for everything on my wolf hunt. Can't thank you enough for everything! From the beginning when we had spoke and you telling me this is not a physically demanding hunt but a very mentality tough hunt. When you told me I had to sit for ten hours a day in -20 and worse temps and not move or make a sound. I was like "no way", but I wanted a wolf! And after reading about how keen wolves are and that I may only get one chance. And it wasn't going to be an easy shot, since you'd had told me i'd be sitting 250 yards or more from the bait. But I practiced a lot of shooting at that distance and bought a few books to make time pass as I waited for my one chance. Thankfully on the second day my chance came and with 10 wolves in front of me! I made a good shot, harvesting a huge wolf I had only ever dreamed of. Again I can not thank you enough for a hunt of a lifetime. From the preparation, to warm cooked meals, and the the hunt itself. I look forward to hunting with you again in the future.
Whitetail Hunt
I booked a whitetail hunt with Rob and the guys. This was my first trip with an outfitter and i must say it was everything I dreamed of and more. Great group of guys with an awesome set up, can't wait to go back and highly recommend these guys!

I've hunted with Rob all across North America, from Sonora to the Peace River. His attention to detail has been second-to-none. Of course everybody who books a hunt wants to shoot the "biggest" or "highest scoring" animal of their lives. I hunt for a different reason and Rob knows and appreciates that. I want to have fun, build relationships and enjoy my surroundings. My ideas behind what hunting is have never stopped Rob from working his tail off and he does everything he can to put us in the best position to be successful. I've had great success on every hunt and will be back hunting deer in Alberta this November.
